KATY CARES FOR THE ANIMALS, is the story of Katy, a
gentle black and white dog, and her helpers, Molly a golden cocker spaniel, Alice Molly's puppy, Queenie the gray cat,
and Skyler.
Even when it snows, Katy and her friends make the rounds checking on all the animals on their
farm in Lyme, NH. The illustrations take children right along with Katy and her companions as they visit the chickadees, red
cardinal, and gray squirrel at the bird-feeder, Clara Bell and Chocolate at the rabbit hutch, and down the hill to the pasture
to check on the white pony, the brown mare, and Charlie the herford calf.
Is Skyler is a boy or a girl? Happily we cannot
tell, so boys and girls can identify with this character.
This book is written for children from two to seven,
but can be quietly
enjoyed by much older folks.
Katherine is presently working on KATY CARES FOR THE ANIMALS IN SPRING TIME, the second
book of what she hopes will be a four-book series. Check the Bright Day Books web site often to see this new Katy book in
